Once upon a time, one of my friends got engaged, and her ring featured a sizable diamond surrounded by a diamond halo. (This is even before halos were such a thing, too.) Within the year, both of her fiancé’s brothers’ wives had added a halo to their engagement rings.

Diamond envy is real, people. And your new ring has probably inspired it in someone. Know who it is? Tell them about the diamond upgrade event that Bernie Robbins is holding this weekend.

The been-around-forever Philadelphia jeweler is is doing the event at their Somers Point location, which is perfect for popping into on the way to the Shore. (They’re doing a whole “Chic at the Shore” event series this summer.) The experts there will be waiting to receive ladies’ deemed-too-small diamond jewelry—engagement rings, diamond stud earrings, etc.—determine what the trade-in value is, and help them pick out or design a new piece to replace the old.

They’re doing this on Friday, July 18th from 12-7pm, and Saturday, July 19th from 10-5pm. So if there’s been someone sniffing around your new bling for a while now, maybe offer to accompany them on a fun little outing this weekend.
