Guys, I think the world of wedding reality TV may have just gotten a little more ridiculous. And awesome, possibly? But definitely ridiculous.

On July 8th at 9pm, a show is going to debut on the FYI Network (which is an A+E channel) called Married at First Sight in which three couples—well, six people I guess I should say, since before they meet they most definitely are not couples—who not only meet each other but literally lay eyes on each other for the first time ever as the girl walks down the aisle to marry the boy.

The premise is that four experts—a sexologist, a psychologist, a spiritualist, and a sociologist—will pair together these people in what they believe to be perfect scientific matches. They plop them down on the aforementioned aisle, marry them, then ship them off to film the first six weeks of their married life. At the end of that, they decide whether they want to keep on keeping on, or get the hell out of dodge.

Extra interesting tidbit: One of the girls is Jamie from Ben’s season of the Bachelor! Remember her? I seem to remember a kiss that was so uncomfortable I may have run out of the room, but other than that, she seemed quite lovely. So, um, good luck to her?

Here’s a sneak peek. If I can find this channel on my high-rise regulated cable guide, I’m in. How about you?
