Philly Mag Shops is the Best Pre-Wedding and Honeymoon Shopping Ever

Over 30 vendors, up to 40 percent off everything, beauty bars, and cocktails. Plus, styling inspiration from the best wedding vendors in the city.

It's almost here!

When I got engaged, my mind instinctively went to the Dress. After all, that’s the most important shopping trip of a girl’s life, right? What I wasn’t expecting, though, were all those other dresses I ended up needing. You know, for the shower, the rehearsal dinner, the bachelorette festivities, the engagement photos … The list is near endless. And we haven’t even mentioned the honeymoon yet.

Lucky for you, brides-to-be, you’ve got us, and we’re rolling out, for the first time ever, Philly Mag Shops. On Sunday, October 6th, from 12 to 4 p.m., 30 of our region’s best boutiques and designers are setting up shop at the Crane Arts Building in Northern Liberties for a one-day-only warehouse-style pop-up shop!

Think of it as one-stop-shopping, a chance for you to hit all the best shops all over the area (from Marlton to the Main Line, from Bucks to, well, all over the city) in one swoop—which leaves you more time for the important stuff, like browsing Pinterest and debating whether or not a photo booth is too overplayed (no, but enough with fake moustache props). Here, all the things you’ll be able to find:

OUTFITS FOR THE HONEYMOON/REHEARSAL DINNER

Sixteen high-end boutiques including Knit Wit, Third Street Habit, Pileggi, Arcadia, Nicole Miller and Eaves selling in-season apparel—from top brands like Rag & Bone, Isabel Marant, J Brand, Ace & Jig, 7 For All Mankind and Cameo—at 40 percent off.

BRIDESMAID GIFTS/ACCESSORIES

We’ve got a seriously stocked jewelry lounge, where you’ll score 25 percent off coveted baubles from TownHome, Open House, Menagerie, Barbara Ellick, Verde and fab Philly-based line Concrete Polish. Bring your ’maids and let them choose their favorite pieces, or buy them some sweet accessories as a thank-you gift. On top of that, we’ve got a shoe lounge (everything is 35 percent off), and some of Philly’s top local designers will be selling their incredibly cool pieces, in case you want to wear stuff no one else has.

QUICKIE BEAUTY TRIALS

Try out nail art by the crazy-creative folks of Lacquer Lounge, get a cool braid at our Jason Matthew braid bar, and let one of Philly’s best makeup artists (and a favorite of Philly brides), Béke Beau, give you a gorgeous smoky eye at our makeup station.

STYLING INSPIRATION FROM WEDDING PROS

Two of the region’s top wedding vendors are helping us turn the space into fabulous eye-candy. Sullivan Owen, the florist to Philly’s most stylish set, is crafting beautiful flowers that you’ll totally want to recreate for your Big Day. And Philly’s newest addition, Maggpie Vintage Rentals, is kitting out the place with fabulous vintage furniture—all of which you can rent for your wedding. Go and get inspired!

BOOZE (AND FOOD)

Because you need to de-stress. And shopping’s more fun with champagne.

Get your tix here—they’re only $25 each.  (Tip: Buy three, and you’ll get one half-off, so it pays for you and your girls to organize.) See you October 6th! (Oh, and happy wedding!)
