Make Your Own Custom Wedding-Day Scent At the Zents Event at Scarlett Alley

Make your own custom scent at the Zents event at Scarlett Alley.

You know how they say scent is one of the most powerful triggers of memory, and how one whiff can take you back to an exact moment or time in your life, like your high school hallway or your mom when you were little? Wouldn’t it be cool if there were a certain scent that directly and specifically brought you back to your wedding day every time you smelled it? (We sure think so.) Well, that’s kind of the idea behind a fun event coming up at Old City boutique Scarlett Alley.

Zents products—all-natural “farm to pharmacy” shea butters, hand soaps, lotions, eau de toilettes and roll-on oils—come in eight different scents, and are made to be blended together and/or layered in order to customize a scent that is really, truly all yours. (A signature scent, if you will.) So on Thursday, July 25th from 4:30 to 7:30, there will be a Zents representative at Scarlett Alley all ready to help you whip up your custom scent.

Boutique owner Liz Scarlett—who loves to take her fave scent Ore and add Petal to make it more feminine, or Sun for date night—says she has had brides come in before to create a special wedding-day scent, even bringing their grooms along to get their opinion. (Hey, just hand him one of the Mandarin Ginger Vodka-Elixir cocktails being whipped up by Liz’s husband Gary, and he’ll be distracted enough.)

Besides cocktails, there will also be light bites, raffle prizes, and special deals: Buy two Zents products, and you’ll get 10-percent off your purchase; buy three and you’ll get 15-percent off. And if you can’t make the event, but want to play, just enter the promo code “Spa” when shopping on Scarlett Alley’s website, and you’ll receive 15-percent off your order, the day of the event, only.

So go play chemist, and let us know how it turns out!
