Gifts Worth Thousands Stolen From Wedding in Montgomery County

You may have heard on the news last night that a couple who had just tied the knot at the William Penn Inn in Lower Gwynedd ended the night with thousands of dollars worth of checks and wedding gifts being stolen right out from under them.

The gifts and birdcage holding the cards were nabbed from the backseat of the couple’s car—they were loading it up after the reception, and when they turned their backs for a minute, they were gone.

Luckily, the police have a pretty prime suspect caught on camera, so here’s hoping they get this guy and that this whole thing can be cleaned up without too much loss or stress! And while accidents like this can always easily happen, we thought it might be a good time to take another look at the tips we once got from Philly wedding planner Lynda Barness of I DO Wedding Consulting on how to keep a watchful eye on your gifts from the time they’re deposited at your reception by your generous guests until the moment they are in your and your groom’s new home, your childhood bedroom at your parents’ house, or what have you.

Get the the tips here, and keep your gifts safe.
