PHOTOS: Couple Marries After Completing Boston Marathon, Despite the Bombings

Since Robert Watling proposed to Kelli Johnston last fall (after they finished the Chicago Marathon), their plan was to tie the knot on April 15, 2013 after they both completed the Boston Marathon.

Yesterday, the couple finished the race before two bombs went off and the day’s tragedy began to unfold. A few friends and family members were still able to join them, and surrounded by first responders, law enforcement and the sounds of sirens, they said their vows and became husband and wife.
