Brides Against Breast Cancer Gown Sale In Philly This Weekend
Brides Against Breast Cancer‘s National Tour of Gowns hits Philly this weekend, starting today at the Philadelphia Airport Ramada and going through this Sunday, April 1st.
From 1pm-2pm today is the Pink Power Hour, which, for $20, gets you access to the gowns (which range in price from $99 to $799, are either new or once-worn, donated from shops and brides all over the country, and bear names like Vera Wang, Monique Lhuillier, Reem Acra, Pronovias, Christos, Jim Hjelm and more) before the sale is opened to the general-admission public. And then, for the rest of the weekend (2pm-8pm, today; Saturday March 31, 10am-8pm; and Sunday April 1, 10am-5pm), admission is $5.
There will also be some of BABC’s medical partners on hand to chat about local initiatives to support breast cancer research, breast cancer survivors there to tell their stories, as well as some fab Philly wedding vendors (Buttercream Cupcake, All Star Entertainment, Creative Mind Photography and more) who can help you with inspiring ideas for your Big Day. Plus, oodles of bridal accessories will also be there, marked down up to 85-percent.
A portion of the proceeds from the gown sale will also benefit Cancer Support Community Philadelphia and Gilda’s Club of Delaware Valley. Oh, and they’re actually still accepting gown donations, so if any of your accompanying shopping entourage have any wedding dresses from 2007 on, do bring them along to donate (yes, the gown donation is tax-deductible)!
Go to bridesabc.org to register and get your tickets or call 877-721-HOPE (4673) for more information.
