Amazing Honeymoon Deals
So, while we realize that chatting about honeymooning in tropical locales when the outside temps here in Philly are, like, well, I don’t even know what — not the kind of temps that make you fantasize about being somewhere else hot, let’s just say — might not seem to make perfect sense, here’s our other reasoning: It’s Monday. And what better to do on a Monday, especially a Monday when you are sitting at your desk, than fantasize about being on a beach somewhere?
Exactly. So, we’re here to help. Since we know you’re sneaking honeymoon research into your days, anyway, here are a few fab deals that have crossed our desks recently, that we thought we’d share. So book away! You can thank us later.
At the Morning Star Beach Club on St. Thomas, you’ll get some fun extras if you book a minimum of four nights (at $199 per night) for travel between now and September 30, 2011. In addition to a personal concierge who can set up everything from kayaking, hiking, scuba and snorkel tours to jaunts to nearby St. John and St. Croix, you’ll get a $200 credit to use towards food and beverage at the resort’s on-the-beach restaurants, as well as a complimentary in-room iPod Shuffle to use during your stay, and a $25 iTunes gift card.
The five-star CuisinArt Resort & Spa on Anguilla (yes, that CuisinArt) is currently offering a Mind, Body & Spirit package for travel between now and November 22, 2011. For rates starting at $2,679, you’ll get five nights in their beachfront accommodations; a tour of their on-site hydroponic farm (which grows the vegetables and herbs used throughout the resort’s restaurants and spas); one healthy cooking class per guest; one 25-minute private personal training session per guest; daily sessions in the Healing Waters Pool (which uses warm, mineral-enriched salt water to soothe sore muscles and encourage balance); unlimited fitness classes, including yoga, Pilates and body sculpting; and one Heart of the Ocean spa package per guest, which includes a seaweed bath, seaweed wrap and Anguillian massage. (For more on what it’s like to honeymoon here, check out our story from the Fall/Winter 2010 issue of Philadelphia Wedding.)
If you head to boutique resort Ceiba del Mar in Puerto Morelos for a minumum of a three-night stay before August 31, 2001 (pre-wedding girls getaway?), you’ll be given a complimentary $300 credit for use at the resort’s holistic, Mayan-inspired Spa Ceiba del Mar. (We’ve been to the spa, ourselves—see which treatment we liked best.) This also gets you free access to use all of the spa facilities, including a fully-equipped gym, yoga and Pilates classes, two pools, sea sport equipment and meditation palapas.
