Amazing Honeymoon Deals
You know, it’s weird, but even though the honeymoon is arguably one of the most blissful parts of getting married — besides, you know, becoming one with your soul mate, and all that jazz — we very often hear from brides — friends, family, coworkers, readers — that planning and booking your post-nuptial trip is a task that often gets dropped to the bottom of the wedding to-do list. Somewhat understandable, seeing as you really can’t keep putting off things like finalizing your menu with your caterer, unless you want some really angry guests — but you don’t want be scrambling to book what will potentially be the most relaxing, luxurious and romantic trip of your life, either, do you?

Grand Cayman’s super pretty, super pastel Cotton Tree has four new honeymoon packages, so pay attention: With any of these packages, you’ll get three nights accommodations in their Caymanian-inspired beach cottages (though you can always add more), and you’ll be privy to their fab amenities like an open-air spa, pre-stocked food in your cottage, use of the pool, fitness center, yoga and bicycles; plus their library of books, music and movies; and oodles of activities, from water sports and hiking to bird-watching and culinary classes. Then, if you book the Breakfast in Bed package, you’ll get breakfast for two in bed — including mimosas — on the morning of your choice; a seven-course tasting menu at Osetra Bay for two; a helicopter island tour of Grand Cayman for two, and a one-hour couple’s massage in an open-air spa hut; $3,620 from November to April; $2,845 from May to October. With Dinner and Show, you’ll get dinner and a show at Vivendi: Circque Du Cayman’s “Imagine”; an hour-and-a-half sunset horseback ride for two; an organic cheese and fruit platter for two with a bottle of champagne; and a helicopter tour of Grand Cayman for two; $3,295 from November to April; $2,520 from May to October. Book Simply Spa-rific for his and hers manis and pedis; an aphrodisiac three-course private meal for two prepared by a personal chef; a one-hour couple’s massage in an open-air spa hut; two half-hour reflexology spa treatments or a one-hour wine-infused facial; and a one-hour yoga session for two with a personal yoga instructor in the yoga pavillion; $3,915 from November to April; $3,140 from May to October. And with the On the Water package, you’ll get a romantic sunset sail for two with a complementary bottle of champagne on board the Nautigal, a French-designed sailing sloop; a three-course lunch for two by the water at Calypso Grill or Luca restaurant; a picnic basket for two filled with organic, gourmet goodies and a bottle of champagne; and a half-day deep-sea fishing cruise for two with the option of having a personal chef prepare your catch-of-the-day, Cayman-style; $3,845 from November to April; $3,070 from May to October.
Calabash Cove on St. Lucia has a seven-night honeymoon package going on right now which gives you a week in one of their Water’s Edge cottages; champagne upon arrival; a couple’s massage at the resort’s Ti Spa; a romantic private sunset dinner for two prepared by the resort’s chef and served either on the private patio of your cottage, the resort’s Gazebo, or the boardwalk overlooking the ocean; and transfers to and from the airport. Prices range from $4,838 to $6,789, depending on season. Plus, for another $295, you can add on Calabash’s Romantic Honeymon Escapade to your trip, which includes a couple’s massage at sunset, followed by a candlelit beach dinner with a private server on Bonaire Bay and a chocolate dessert and champagne back in your room, which will be scattered with flower petals.
The Halekulani Hotel in Waikiki has two romantic options right now for your getaway: Both the Romance Remembered and Romance Renewed packages offer, for a four-night minimum stay, a special chef’s dinner for two in the resort’s Orchids restaurant; a daily buffet breakfast at House Without a Key restaurant or a full breakfast at Orchids; a welcome gift; daily morning paper; and complimentary admission to Oahu’s art and culture venues. The Remembered package (from $2,440 to $2,720) offers a chocolate fondue dessert for two, and fresh flowers, while the Renewed package (from $3,200 to $3,475) offers a couple’s Walanuhea treatment at SpaHalekulani.
