Bride-to-be Blogger Jennifer: Seating Assignments — And Stress

Anthony and I put off doing the seating assignments for as long as possible. Like creating the guest list, this was another horror story I’ve heard so much about — I actually think those were our top two dreaded tasks. I found the guest list to be fairly easy to figure out, though, and so maybe subconsciously I thought table assignments would bring double the torture.

We sat down to face that task at around 9:30 p.m. on the eve of the 11-day mark, and by 10 p.m. we were done. Really? Can it be that this process is not as scary and stressful as I thought? Our wedding isn’t huge, but with 132 people, I thought there would be come challenges over the horizon. As the day gets closer, though, I can’t help but reflect on how much fun it has all been.

Coworkers and friends all ask if I am nervous or stressed, and to be honest — not really. I am excited to finally marry Anthony, and really looking forward to that two-week honeymoon in Hawaii. I am surprised that I am as relaxed as I am — especially since there is rain in the forecast so far. Oh well — it’s going to be a great day, anyway!

Has the planning been challenging at times? Yes, but all in all, it has also given us the opportunity to spend a lot of extra time with friends and family.

How are you reflecting on your nearing Big Day? Stressed? Excited? Surprised at how you feel?
