Bride-to-be Blogger Leslie: Smile for the Camera!
I feel like I am always sharing with you all the things I need to do and haven’t done yet — so today I am shaking things up a bit and letting you in on something I have finalized for the wedding! Charles and I spent a lot of time thinking about what we wanted to do for a favor for our Big Day. I couldn’t remember half of the things I had received from other weddings I’ve attended, and I wanted to do something different.
I am a huge lover of pictures and all things photography. I never leave home without my camera and am always snapping away, taking picture of any and everything. I was watching a wedding show on television one day when I saw something that I knew I had to have at my wedding:
A photo booth!
I did a little research and found out about Shutterbooth in Philadelphia. My mom and I made an appointment to go meet with the team — and when we did, the deal was pretty much sealed when we got to test drive a photo booth ourselves. Two feather boas, crazy sunglasses, lots of laughs and a photo strip later — I was hooked!
Immediately, I was so excited about having a photo booth at our reception. I feel like it is going to be such a fun activity for our guests, and also a nice little keepsake to remember the day. We get unlimited pictures throughout the event, and everyone gets a photo strip of their pictures. The best part (for Charles and I) is that a double of each picture will be printed out and put into a guest book for people to sign with a message for the new Mr. & Mrs! How fun is that?
I am so excited about the possibilities. We are currently in the process of creating a logo to go on the bottom of each photo strip, and my mom and I are brainstorming ideas as to what we want to put into a prop box for some added fun. I am thinking feather boas, fake mustaches and maybe a few other fun things!
What are your thoughts on a photo booth at a wedding reception? Have you ever attended a wedding that had one?
