Bride-to-be Blogger Jennifer: Flower Arrangements, Take Two
I mentioned in an earlier blog post that I had found choosing the flowers to be the hardest part so far in our long list of wedding planning tasks.
I might have to go back on that statement. Now, I think that when you find the right vendors, you are comfortable — and maybe that was the real reason behind my struggle in the first go-round with flower selection. That initial florist just wasn’t the right fit.
Luckily, Anthony and I did find the right florist for us. So now, we are going to be using Savannah’s Garden. Laura is really easy to work with, and she is incredibly knowledgeable. As we tried to explain our vision, she flipped through pages and searched through websites, pulling up things that exactly fit our style. She knew that we would need a little bit of guidance, but still did not overwhelm us with our options. I felt really comfortable with her suggestions because I felt like she understood our vision; she clasped on quickly to what we wanted, and did not try to sway us in any one direction.
I left our meeting feeling really relieved that we found someone that was so easy to work with. And when we talked about budget, she was very reasonable, seeming like she could work with any budget. Flower nightmares are over — onto the next item on the list.
How comfortable are you with your vendors? What did you learn by meeting with different people?
