SEPTA has partially suspended Broad Street Line service on Monday morning after a person was struck and killed by a train in North Philadelphia.
A SEPTA spokesperson said the incident occurred shortly before 9:30 a.m. at the Allegheny station. The person was hit by a northbound BSL train. No further details regarding the death are available at this time.
Shuttle buses are currently running along the BSL between Erie and Girard stations, and SEPTA has suspended service on the BSL’s Broad-Ridge spur.
Police are investigating the death. Emergency personnel and a medical examiner remained on the scene around 11 a.m. this morning.
