Sixty-six items from Jim Fregosi's baseball career are up for auction — including a photo of him with Nixon. Fregosi managed the 1993 Phillies.

Jim Fregosi was the manager of the Phillies’ pennant-winning 1993 team. Now, you can get a signed photo Richard Nixon gave him.

That’s just one of the items Fregosi’s estate put up for auction at Worthridge Auctions and Retail, a North Carolina auction house. Fregosi died in February 2014.

As Philly.com notes, the auction is full of baseball memorabilia that may entice Phillies fans: A 1993 National League championship ring, a jersey Fregosi wore in the 1993 World Series, his 1996 All-Star Game ring, an autographed baseball (currently going for $10!).

But my favorite item is this photo of Richard Nixon and Jim Fregosi, signed by the former president. “To Jim & Jan Fregosi,” Nixon wrote. “With appreciation for his superb leadership in 1979 and best wishes for the year ahead.” Fregosi’s 1979 California Angels went 88-74 and qualified for the playoffs for the first time in their history that season.

Bids on the Nixon photo are up to $72. If that’s too rich for you, you can also this signed 8×10 of Pete Rose with Fregosi. There are no bids on that yet.
