Police Seek Suspect in Queen Village Armed Robbery

The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect in an armed robbery in Queen Village.

The robbery took place on Wednesday, May 4th at 12:30 a.m. Police say that the man seen in these photos walked up behind a 29-year-old man on the 400 block of Catharine Street, pointing a gun at him. The suspect then demanded that the victim empty his pockets and turn over his cell phone, according to police, before making off in a getaway vehicle being driven by another person. The car was last seen heading north on Fifth Street in the direction of South Street.

The robber’s take? The victim’s wallet and ID, $38 in cash, and an LG Neon cell phone.

Police describe the suspect as follows: “Black male, 5’10-6’0″, stocky build, twist hairstyle, wearing a white/gray shirt, and gray pants.”
