Nasir McNamee is the kid in the mugshot on the left. The faint shadow of the mustache that hovers above his upper lip leaves little doubt that he is just 15-years-old.

And as of today, he’s an accused murderer.

Philadelphia police announced this morning that McNamee and Khalil Davenport, 20, were charged with gunning down a 20-year-old man named Jayvon Mitchell-Pendleton in North Philly last week.

The slaying unfolded on Bonsall Street near Lehigh Avenue shortly after 6:30 p.m. on March 2. McNamee and Davenport allegedly opened fire on Mitchell-Pendleton and another man, who was not wounded, police said.

Cops who responded to a radio call about a shooting on the block found a bullet-riddled Mitchell-Pendelton splayed out on the ground. A .38-caliber revolver was wedged under his body.

Mitchell-Pendelton, who lived on Lambert Street near Jackson in South Philly, was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital just before 9 that night.

McName and Davenport, who lived within a block of each other on 23rd Street near Huntingdon, were charged with murder, attempted murder, criminal conspiracy, firearms violations and related offenses.

Two handguns were found in one suspect’s house, a law enforcement source said. It’s unclear what sparked the fatal shooting.
