The Inn of the Dove on Cuthbert Boulevard in Cherry Hill prides itself on being the “ultimate, anytime romantic adult escape.” On Sunday a party in one of the rooms ended tragically.

Cherry Hill police showed up at the Inn of the Dove at 2:24 a.m. on Sunday morning in response to the report of a shooting. When they got there, they found out that two victims had already been driven to Camden’s Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital with gunshot wounds.

One of those victims was 17-year-old Jadyre Gordon from Camden, who was pronounced dead at the hospital about an hour after police arrived at the hotel. The other victim, a 20-year-old man from Willingboro, was treated and released.

According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, there was a fight at a party in one of the rooms at the Inn of the Dove, and the two men were shot inside a car in the parking lot shortly after the altercation. No arrests have been made.
