Woman Freaks Out at South Philly Dunkin’ Donuts, Assaults Manager

Her weapon of choice? The tip jar.

We’ve all had frustrating experiences at Dunkin’ Donuts. You ask for a cruller and get a jelly donut. Their bagel-toasting is anemic at best. And God forbid you want a latte, which they just don’t seem to know how to make. But most of us just walk away shaking our heads. Not this woman.

We’re not exactly sure what the problem was on February 12th at 6:50 a.m. when the woman in the above photo walked into the Dunkin’ Donuts at 1551 Washington Avenue, but we think it’s safe to say that she overreacted.

According to police, when the unidentified woman became “dissatisfied with the service,” she reacted wildly, knocking things over and throwing a ceramic tip cup at the 31-year-old manager. Then she fled the store and drove away in a dark vehicle, which police say might be a Ford Taurus. The manager was taken to Pennsylvania Hospital with a wrist laceration.

Police describe the suspect as follows: “Black female, 5’4”, 20 years-of-age, thin build, light brown complexion, wearing a black hat, and a tan jacket.”

Watch the whole crazy thing go down on surveillance video. And if you have any information, call detectives at 215-686-3013 or the PPD tip line at 215-686-TIPS.
