Mace Wielding Cigarette Thief Strikes Again in Center City

Twice in two days. Once more and it will be a spree.

If you’re in a 7-Eleven and you see this guy walk inside, we highly recommend that you duck. On Monday, we told you that he walked into a 7-Eleven just off the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and sprayed the cashier with mace before fleeing with 10 packs of cigarettes. And now police are telling us that he’s wanted for another similar attack.

The incident we reported on Monday occurred on August 19th at 3:47 a.m. inside the 7-Eleven located at 1 Franklin Town Boulevard and sent a 61-year-old male employee to the hospital. It turns out that the suspect in that case is accused of doing virtually the same thing just 24 hours before, at 3:35 a.m. on August 18th. That attack took place at the 7-Eleven at 2200 Market Street.

Here’s video of that robbery:

Police released two descriptions of the suspect:

Suspect Description: Black male, slim build, 20 years-of-age, 2 inch afro hair cut short on the sides, wearing a black and gray short sleeve shirt, shorts and dark colored sneakers.

Suspect Description: Black male, 20 years-of-age, 5’11”-6’0″, dark complected, Afro style hair, wearing a camouflage shirt, dark colored shorts, and dark colored sneakers.
