Harry Moore, the man who allegedly scammed potential renters out of thousands of dollars, has been arrested.

Philadelphia Police report that on Wednesday, Moore turned himself in to Northwest Division detectives after he saw a report about the accusations against him on the television news. He faces 15 counts of fraud and related offenses.

Police say that on at least four separate occasions, Moore used Craigslist to a property for rent at 8082 North Fayette Street. Each time, Moore would show the prospective renter the property, then request a deposit and move-in date, police say. After taking the money, he would later tell the would-be renters the property was no longer available; he then never showed to meetings to return the cash.

Police further report that as of yesterday, Moore has obtained $10,500 in allegedly stolen deposits. The four incidents occurred on March 25th, May 12th, May 25th and, most recently, August 5th.

We’re previously reported that Moore has “multiple arrests spanning the last 15 years in Philadelphia and surrounding counties,” and that Moore also recently pleaded guilty to theft back in December. He is serving three years probation.
