Police say a brazen robber — clad in what appears to be a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball cap and a wig — walked into the Subway in Northern Liberties, pointed a gun at a cashier and got away with money from the store.

The robbery happened on Monday at around 9:15 p.m. Per police reports and surveillance footage, the man walked in and immediately pointed a gun at the 25-year-old cashier behind the counter. She emptied the register into a plastic bag.

The man then asked her to open the safe, which she told him was empty. He ordered her to the rear of the store and calmly walked out of the restaurant. Police released the following description of the suspect:

Black male, 40-50 years-of-age, 5’6″-5’7”, beard with a mustache, medium build, wearing a dark colored t-shirt, gray shorts, black sun glasses, black baseball cap, and a curly black wig.
