In a nine-day period, the Philadelphia Police Department says that the man seen here stole eight Philadelphia taxicabs, all of them bearing the “215-GET-A-CAB” logo.

The thefts began on June 7th and continued through June 15th in the 12th, 18th, 16th, and 19th police districts in West and Southwest Philadelphia. The cab theft on June 8th was caught on video, shortly after midnight, according to the timestamp on the surveillance footage.

Watch as the suspect simply walks up to the cab and jumps inside. It takes him a matter of a few seconds to open the door, although police have not indicated whether the doors were locked.

215-GET-A-CAB is a taxi-hailing app in Philadelphia. We guess he really needed to, er, get a cab. Eight of them!
