Bill Cosby won’t speak at Temple University’s graduation ceremony this year.

The Inquirer reports that the announcement had long been expected. Cosby spoke at the university’s graduation ceremonies for many years. He resigned as a member of Temple’s Board of Trustees last year after allegations of sex abuse resurfaced.

Multiple sources had said in December that he would not speak. A spokesman went on the record Saturday.

“Dr. Cosby spoke in the past as a member of the Board of Trustees,” Temple’s Ray Betzner said. “He resigned as a trustee in the fall and so is not on the program.”

Kevin Negandhi, a 1998 grad and weekday morning anchor on ESPN’s SportsCenter, will deliver Temple’s commencement address this year.
