Philadelphia Cop Charged With Assaulting Partner 4 Separate Times

The two were reportedly having an affair.

Philadelphia Police Officer Kenneth Allen was arrested Thursday and charged with assaulting his partner on four separate occasions.

The fights between the two partners came to light, police say, when Allen assaulted his partner on Friday night near police headquarters in Center City. NBC 10 reported the two were having an affair.

While investigating last Friday’s alleged assault, police say they learned Allen had struck his partner three times previously. He’s charged with aggravated assault in three incidents, simple assault in four and faces a litany of related charges.

Police Commissioner Charles Ramsay has suspended Allen, a three year veteran of the police force, for 30 days with intent to dismiss. NBC 10 says his partner was a 20-year veteran of the force.
