Summer Kamp Kicks Off
Pitch your tents, ladies and gentlemen, for Josh Schonewolf's latest Gayborhood talent competitions — this one looking for Philly's triple threat. Summer Kamp will see 15 multi-talented contestants competing in weekly acting, singing and dancing categories to see who's actually kickass at all three. The competitors will be teamed up with "counselors" Tim Popp, Madelaine Novak, Anthony Mauriello, and Bearlesque's Connor Michalchuk, who will mentor them throughout the 10-week competition. Ian Morrison (aka not Brittany Lynn) and PhillyGayCalendar's Matt O'Neill will share hosting duties. Tuesday, June 24th, 9 p.m., Tabu Lounge and Sports Bar, 200 South 12th Street.

Cory Wade Hindorff and Eric Jaffe Live
Philly Top Model alum Cory Wade Hindorff is teaming with local singer-songwriter/world-champion ukelele player Eric Jaffe for a free evening of tunes at Finnigan's Wake on Spring Garden. Hindorff is appearing on the heels of his two latest single releases, "I'm Sorry," and "Stay True." For those who can't make the event, Eric and Cory will be "busking" in Rittenhouse Square starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 24th, 9:30 p.m., free, Finnigan's Wake, 537 North 3rd Street.

Angela Giampolo Slings "Double A Mojitos"
Happy hour hunters should head to Mixto on Wednesday, where Angela Giampolo will guest-bartend with Mixto's Andrea Reyes. Giampolo will be concocting a "Double a Mojito," which she explains is, "an awesomely random concoction I developed one night when Andrea was patient enough to let me experiment behind the bar." All proceeds raised from the event will benefit the Gay and Lesbian Lawyers of Philadelphia (GALLOP.) Wednesday, June 25th, 5 p.m.-7 p.m., Mixto, 1141 Pine Street.

Best of #VentureVariety
Postponed from last week: Philly bartender Billy Cavallo and his bulge will join local burlsesquer Lobaster Bisque to host a showcase of some of #VentureVariety's favorite performers since the weekly show started earlier this year. Who gets the honor of being one of these best performers? Drag Wars 3 winner Zsa Zsa St. James, performance artist DaQuan Jamar Motley, Burlesque Battle Royale winner Sinnamon Burlyq and more. Wednesday, June 25th, free, Venture Inn, 255 South Camac Street.

Rob Smith Book Reading
Queer Books, LLC, the ladies who almost saved Giovanni's Room, are hosting a book reading with army vet, journalist and activist Rob Smith. He will read passages from Closets, Combat and Coming Out: Coming of Age as a Gay Man in the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" Army, the first Iraq War novel not only written by an African-American, but the first openly gay man since the repeal of DOMA. Thursday, June 26th, 5:30 p.m., free, William Way Community Center, 1315 Spruce Street.

Where to Gay-Dance
Corey Griffith hosts Mondo Trasho in Fishtown, featuring the sounds of Katie K Rex. Wednesday, June 25th, free, 10 p.m., The Barbary, 951 Frankford Ave. This month's NSFW Dance Party is themed "Black Out," where the lights on the dancefloor will be black, and flashing cameras are prohibited. Grab something juicy! Thursday, May 26th, 10 p.m., Medusa Lounge, 27 South 21st Street.
