Lafayette Hill Man Could Do 30 Years for Pirating NCIS and Bambi

The feds seized 9,462 DVDs from Brian Bethman.

The United States Attorney’s office in Philadelphia has announced the indictment of Lafayette Hill’s Brian Bethman on charges that he pirated thousands of movies and television shows.

The 38-year-old man has been charged with seven counts of smuggling goods into the United States, one count of trafficking in counterfeit materials, and one count of criminal copyright infringement. According to the indictment in the case, the government seized 9,462 DVDs from his home. If convicted on all of the charges, he could face as many as 30 years in jail.

If the charges are true, Bethman’s customers weren’t exactly film connoisseurs. The titles he’s charged with pirating include NCIS, Bambi, Jillian Michaels Fitness, Criminal Minds, Drop Dead Diva and Royal Pains.
