LGBT Six-Word Memoir of the Day: Eric Manas

In partnership with SMITH Magazine’s Six-Word Memoir Project, we asked you to submit your queer life stories—succinctly. Every day until we run out, we will present the most touching, poignant and hilarious entries in meme form.

Today, one of our few action memes, and the first about being a gay parent. It features Eric Manas (pictured, left), a Philly drug researcher who has been practicing aikido — and kicking ass, apparently — for more than 20 years. He has two daughters he raises with his partner Chris (who we should mention is not the guy getting flipped in this photo.)
