PHOTO: World’s Biggest Sand Castle

Jersey Shore behemoth to win Guinness World Record.

Above is a photo of what is being called the world’s tallest sandcastle, in Point Pleasant Beach, on the Shore. According to the sandcastle’s site–yes, the sandcastle has its own website–Guinness World Records will certify the castle as the tallest ever on Tuesday, October 29th, the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy.

The architect of “Sandy Castle 2013, Second Edition,” is also the architect of the previous record-holding sand castle, which stands at 37 feet, ten inches, and is located in Connecticut. His previous attempt, from earlier this year, fell short of the record, but did raise $50,000 for Sandy relief. Click here for a live feed of the castle, which is now standing still, set to cheesy smooth jazz.
