Tigre Hill’s Aborted Union-Bashing Documentary, in Trailer Form

A few weeks ago, filmmaker Tigre Hill (The Shame of the City, The Barrel of a Gun) revealed he was no longer working on a documentary about labor unions in Philadelphia. The infamous Pestronk bros. seemed poised for a starring role. The reason he stopped working on the project? “I didn’t want to make it completely union-bashing,” Hill said. “I wanted to show the benefits and what went wrong. [The investors] wanted it to be more of a polemic.” Funny, overt bias hasn’t stopped him before…This must have been a hell of a hand-job. If the first couple minutes of the trailer look familiar, by the way, it’s because it’s a bunch of clips from his previous films.
