Mayhem Ensues After Turtle Crosses a Road in South Jersey
Why did the turtle cross the road? Sorry, let’s stop that immediately. More to the point: A turtle crossed a road in South Jersey yesterday, causing a three-car accident.
Police say a 3-car wreck was triggered when a motorist in an Infiniti slowed to avoid hitting a turtle on White Horse Pike in Galloway Township Wednesday. Police say Dominique Flipping of Mays Landing struck that vehicle from behind, crossed the center line and slammed into a Ford driven by Julio Pagan of Sewell. Pagan’s vehicle hit a utility pole and crashed through a billboard.
No good deed goes unpunished. You know, this could make a worthy ethics dilemma, along the lines of the famous trolley problem. Kill a turtle or cause minor injuries to two people in your car? Turtle, by the way, was found save under the car and was released into the woods. [CBS 3]
