Family Gets Lost Tubing for 12 Hours in Jersey
Gilligan’s Law states that the length of time a ship’s crew will be stranded is exponentially proportional to the expected duration of their trip. A family of three proved that again this weekend, when their leisurely tubing trip at Wading Pines Camping Resort turned into a castaway situation. While the S.S. Minnow‘s three-hour tour lead to multiple seasons of wild survival (and cheeky humor, ‘natch), the unidentified family’s brush with the shipwrecked lifestyle lasted a mere 12 hours. State police found the family downriver about eight miles from the staging area early this morning, safe and unharmed — maybe a little cold, though. Hey, at least it ended better than the series.
