Jon Bon Jovi Donates $1 Million to Superstorm Sandy Relief Fund
While some Jersey homeowners hope for a ruling against dunes on beaches that could block their ocean view, Jon Bon Jovi is busy throwing cash around — $1 million, to be exact, all for the recovery of his home state after Superstorm Sandy. Bon Jovi was in Jersey today to present the check to Chris Christie’s wife, Mary Pat, overseer of the state’s storm relief fund; Gov. Christie called the gift “incredibly generous” in a statement. Meanwhile, some residents are still waiting for insurance payouts nearly nine months after the storm hit. [NBC]
