Chris Christie Appoints NJ AG Jeff Chiesa for Interim Senate Seat

After all the debate about whether and when Chris Christie would hold a special election for a U.S. Senator to replace the late Frank Lautenberg, the actual appointment of his successor seems somehow less exciting. And indeed, his appointment of low-profile Republican state Attorney General Jeff Chiesa, with whom he’s been friends for 20 years, is not exactly a shocker.
