After Website Snafu, City Extends Online Tax Filing Deadline

Good news! Remember how on Sunday, the day before taxes were due, City Hall took down the website that let people pay their city taxes online? To make amends, people who weren’t able to file their taxes by the original Monday night deadline now have until midnight tonight to file returns for the city’s business income and receipts tax, net profits tax, school income tax, and earnings tax. The department didn’t explain the shutdown, instead attributing it to “technical difficulties.” [Philly Business Journal]
