Jersey Powerball Winner Can’t Receive Prize Til $29,000 in Child Support is Paid
Pedro Quezada, the 44 year-old Passaic man who won the $338 million Powerball last weekend, owes $29,000 in child support payments, the Bergen Record reports. Ironically, it looks like he can’t receive his winnings until after the child support has been paid. Though according to the Record report, it looks like the state might just pay the tab for him, before handing Quezada his riches. Either way, he’ll have some other funds coming his way: Wednesday, he put his bodega, Apple Deli & Grocery, up for sale. [Bergen Record]
