Philly Restauranteurs Discuss Plans to Revive NYC’s Tavern on the Green
Philadelphia restaurateurs Jim Caiola and David Salama, owners of Queen Village’s Creperie Beau Monde, are profiled in Crain’s New York, where they’re preparing to revive the legendary Tavern on the Green restaurant that went out of business in 2009. The couple has already faced union unrest as they prepare the new location for opening in November 2013. But they insist they’re excited about the challenge of reviving a beloved name in culinary circles. “What we bring to the table is real positive, maybe naive, energy,” Caiola said. [Joe. My. God.]
