LGBT Advocate: Gay Marriage Not Coming to Pennsylvania Anytime Soon


On Election Day three more states voted in favor of same-sex marriage, and three more states could legalize it soon. So what about Pennsylvania? Ted Martin, executive director of the LGBT advocacy group Equality Pennsylvania, says that for now you shouldn’t hold your breath. “This shift is starting to happen,” Martin tells the Patriot-News, “however Pennsylvania has a long way to go.”  Three Democrats holding state row offices — Rob McCord, Kathleen Kane, and Eugene DePasquale — are in favor of gay marriage, but Governor Tom Corbett still opposes it, as does U.S. Senator Bob Casey.
