That Awesome Photo of Soldiers Standing Guard During the Storm? Also Fake, Sort Of.

We honestly don’t know what makes people try to take a dramatic event and make it more dramatic with faked or misleading photos, but: That photo you’ve been seeing on Facebook and Twitter of brave soldiers getting drenched by Hurricane Sandy while standing guard over the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier? That was taken in September. Long before this week’s storm. That doesn’t diminish the work those men do every day. But we’re of the opinion photos ought to be about what they say they’re about. Don’t worry: There will be a lot of cool, real photos taken over the next day or two. Stop posting the fakes, please. [JamieNBCNews]
