One Dead in Bucks County Helicopter Crash

Federal officials are investigating a helicopter crash in Tinicum Township, Bucks County. The copter went down in a wooded area just a few miles from the Van Sant Airport at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. Investigators say that the helicopter was so badly damaged in the crash that it’s been difficult to immediately determine if the pilot was still in the helicopter when it went down and whether or not their were other people on board.

The pilot may have been the sole occupant of the aircraft, and the dispatcher acknowledged a report of a death, but said medical personnel had not yet confirmed it as of shortly before 8 a.m [Philly.com]
