NASA Scientists Have Built an Iron Man Suit
It’s not exactly as modern as the updated version of Tony Stark’s getup that you saw in The Avengers, but NASA scientists have developed a “robotic exoskeleton” that is engineered to improve mobility for astronauts and paraplegics. The 57-pound device is worn over the legs and includes a backpack that reaches up over the shoulders. Joints in the device allow for movements like stair-climbing, sidestepping, and flexing the foot. So, Thanos better get his act together, because the Infinity Gauntlet won’t be any match for an entire army of iron men. [NBC Philadelphia]
