Philly’s City Council Slams Mitt Romney for “47 Percent” Comment

On Thursday, Philadelphia’s City Council voiced its displeasure with Mitt Romney over his “47 percent” comment.

Pulling a quote from former late Texas governor Ann Richards about former president George H.W. Bush, Councilwoman Marian Tasco said, “Mitt Romney was born with a silver foot in his mouth. He has no idea about what’s happening in this country.”

Councilmen Bill Green and Curtis Jones Jr. also chimed in on the issue before reminding everyone about the “Be the Vote” block party on September 27th, where people can get their valid voter IDs. [Daily News]
