University of Texas Evacuated After Man Claiming to Be With al-Qaida Made Bomb Threat


A mass evacuation order has been given for the University of Texas campus in Austin. A man, reportedly claiming to be associated with al-Qaida, called in a bomb threat, saying that he planted bombs in multiple university buildings.

UPDATE: North Dakota State has reportedly also evacuated campus due to a bomb threat.

UPDATE: Officials at the University of Texas at Austin say that no bombs were found in the sweep of campus buildings. [USA Today]
