If the Phils Win the World Series, Mitt Romney Will Be President

And other ridiculous events that could decide the November election.

If the Phillies overcome astronomical odds and manage to make the playoffs this year (they’re six games back with 22 to play), it would seem as though President Obama would be rooting against them, or whichever other National League team makes it to the World Series. That’s because when the National League wins, the incumbent party is less likely to win the presidential election. The November election is directly decided by electoral votes, but, other occurrences may or may not (or definitely may) be the decisive factors for victory. Like, whether or not the Redskins win their game against the Panthers on November 4th or how many buy Mitt Romney masks for Halloween. It’s science, people. [Constitution Daily]
