Pregnant Parkettes File Suit Against Parx Casino

Two former cocktail waitresses have filed a lawsuit against Bensalem’s Parx Casino. The women allege that when they told their employer that they had become pregnant, they were told they could continue to work until their uniforms no longer fit. Parx now offers maternity versions of its cocktail waitress uniform, but didn’t back in 2008, when the women worked there. The casino still has a rule that Parkettes and Park Men must stay within seven percent of the weight at which they were hired. [Daily News]
