Tyler Clementi’s Family Speaks Out on Rock Center With Brian Williams


In September of 2010, 18-year-old Tyler Clementi committed suicide by jumping off the George Washington Bridge. Clementi was gay and his roommate had used a webcam to to spy on Clementi and another man in an intimate moment. Dharun Ravi—the roommate—was tried and convicted of invasion of privacy and related charges stemming from the videos and tweets about Clementi’s actions. He served 20 days of a 30-day jail sentence and was released earlier this month. On Thursday, Clementi’s family spoke out for the first time in a segment on Rock Center With Brian Williams. [MSNBC]
