The American Federation of Musicians Has Reached Out to a Mediator in the Peter Nero/Philly Pops Dispute

The local American Federation of Musicians has called in a mediator to handle the ongoing contract dispute between Peter Nero and Encore Series Inc. The group doesn’t believe that the Philly Pops can survive the rest of the year—let alone the remaining four years and change on its collective bargaining agreement—without Nero. The AFM has stepped in and reached out to a mediator because more than 60 of its members stand to lose significant portions of their annual income if this whole debacle goes south. [Inquirer]
