Philly Cop Charged With Selling Heroin to an FBI Informant

A 23-year-old Philadelphia Police officer has been charged for reportedly selling heroin to an FBI informant. Jonathan Garcia of South Philly’s 17th district was arrested on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to four counts of distribution of heroin and two counts of carrying a firearm during drug trafficking. Garcia—who’s been on the force for three years—allegedly sold the FBI informant individually-wrapped packets of heroin on two occasions. [Daily News]
