Jason Giambi Likes Playing Baseball in Philadelphia

Jason Giambi—a 41-year-old member of the Colorado Rockies—had some great things to say about the fans in Philadelphia. As his Rockies come to town to take on the Phils, Giambi said that Phillies fans remind him of fans in New York (thanks, we think?) and that they, “make you play hard every day.” The slugger has had some, ahem, success in Citizens Bank Park—like when he launched three homers in a game here last May. He says that he really enjoys playing in Philly. Someone should tell him that it’s 2012 and the rest of the National League feels exactly the same way. [Inquirer]
