State Rep. Wants a Cover Charge at Pennsylvania Casinos

Bucks County Republican Rep. Paul Clymer has a bill in the House Gaming Oversight Committee that would call for Pennsylvania’s gamblers to pay a $2 cover charge for admission to state casinos. Clymer says that casinos could either collect two bucks from each patron at the door or install turnstiles to record the number of incoming patrons and get the cash to the state later. The proposed measure is meant to help alleviate Pennsylvania’s pension problem. [Daily News]
