We Might Have a Hero Dog Scandal on Our Hands

Say it ain’t so, Joe. Say it ain’t so. We might have a hero dog scandal on our hands. This morning, you probably caught wind of a woman’s claim that her dog dialed 9-1-1 when she was attacked in her West Philly home. Now, police are raining on the hero dog’s parade as they investigate the validity of the woman’s claim. Her son says that his mother isn’t blind, but that she suffers from astigmatism. Police are re-interviewing the woman in an attempt to figure out what the hell actually happened. We’re seriously concerned because we’re not sure we want experience a world in which the hero dog didn’t actually call for help. Can’t we just let heroic dogs lie? [NBC Philadelphia]
